BT mail down: Users report problems accessing BT email website today

BT mail reports are on the rise today, with BT email account holders reporting issues today. Independent outage monitor Down Detector has registered a spike in BT email down reports today since around 2pm UK time. At the time of writing Down Detector UK has registered a peak of more than 1,200 reports of BT down.

While users on Twitter have also reported issues with the BT email service.

One tweeted: “@Bt_uk Hello. My BT email has been down for last 30 mins or so. I see there may others reporting this. Any idea of when it might be fixed? Thanks.”

While another posted: “@Bt_uk Hi there, unable to access my email since 13.45 today. Is there a more widespread issue.”

One added: “@Bt_uk is there a problem with Bt email”

And another wrote: “@bt_uk Is there a problem with email at the moment? Trying to log in (via the web page) and it’s just hanging and showing a blank screen.”

Among those reporting issues with the BT email service today 5 Live Breakfast presenter Nicky Campbell who tweeted: “BT e mail down?”

Issues that BT mail customers reported including being greeted with a “this site can’t be reached” error screen when they tried to access email.bt.com. 

Express.co.uk has contacted BT for comment.

Responding to customers that have been experiencing issues today though, the @BT_UK Twitter said they were not aware of any major service issues.

In one tweet the account posted: “Hi Robert, sorry to hear you can’t access BT Mail. We’re not aware of any major issues at the moment. Please log out, wait a few minutes, and try again, and let us know if you’re still having the same problem.”
