‘Changed my life!’ Clever way to make fried eggs without frying – only takes three minutes

Eggs are one of the most nutritious and versatile types of foods there are available.

There are so many ways to cook and consume them that they can be found in almost every kitchen all over the world.

However, when it comes to cooking this ingredient, this is where many people struggle.

One type of way to make eggs some people struggle with is the humble fried egg.

Luckily, TikTok user @lubnashomekitchen has shared the effortless way to make fried eggs the healthier and fuss-free way.

Air fryer fried eggs are a whole new way of enjoying breakfast without the need to babysit the stove or stand over hot oil and wait for eggs to cook. The air fryer makes fried eggs more effortless than ever.

Sharing the hack with her followers, Lubna commented: “Fried eggs in air fryer ready in three minutes! #eggfried #easycook #airfryer.”

The video showed that the influencer had placed a square sheet of tin foil into the air fryer basket.

Her foil was a little larger than the basket so it covered the sides as well as the base.

She then broke two eggs and sprayed them both with olive oil and chilli flakes.

Next, she closed the air fryer and set the timer to three minutes at 160 degrees.

Once the three minutes were up, she opened the air fryer and took out two perfectly air-fried eggs.

Timings and temperature depend on the make and model of the air fryer being used, so it’s worth trying it out a few times to see how the eggs cook best for you in your air fryer.

As for what others thought of the air fryer hack, one user claimed: “This might’ve changed my life.”

However, one follower claimed that this hack “didn’t work” as they ended up leaving it to cook for an extra four minutes and the eggs “still weren’t ready”.

Lubna responded: “You must’ve taken eggs from the fridge. It should be room temperature.”

For those who keep their eggs in the fridge, they should let them come to room temperature before cooking – if they start with a cold egg, then they’re more likely to end up overcooking the yolk trying to get the white to set.
