Dog caught behind the wheel of a speeding car leading to owner getting fined

A Slovakian man was fined after his dog went on a joyride and was caught speeding in his car.

Police took the incident in good humor when they shared after the brown hunting dog’s bizarre jaunt.

The brown hunting dog was caught on camera with its paws on the wheel, driving over the speed limit in Šterusy.

The officers said they “did not believe their own eyes on the police radar” over the dangerous dog driver.

Posting on Facebook, Polícia Slovenskej said: “Instead of a photo of the driver, a brown hunting dog, who sat obediently behind the wheel of a Škoda and peeked out the windshield promising young deer.

“We ruined the boy’s hunting plans and ended his wandering around the tent.

“An irresponsible driver, who was stopped by a patrol for speeding in the village of Šterusy, finally had something to explain.

“A 31-year-old man from district Pieš dilany claimed that the having suddenly jumped over his knees. However, the lost footage did not record sudden movement in the car.

“Senice police imposed a block fine on the spot for violating traffic rules.”

Slovakia’s baffled cops also reminded drivers to take safety and caution when transporting their pets, adding any sized animal can cause safety problems.

“Even a small animal can endanger your life and health while driving,” they said.

A Colorado man also tried in May by swapping places with his dog while at a traffic stop.

Springfield Police said the 52-year-old man showed signs of intoxication and was arrested for “driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, driving while ability impaired, driving under suspension, speeding 20 to 24 over the speed limit and resisting arrest.”

And earlier this month, a dad was arrested after his 10-year-old son allegedly led police on a chase down a freeway as he sat in the passenger seat drinking alcohol.

The 49-year-old father, identified as Alvaro Ovando Alvarez, and his unidentified son, were pulled over after the red pickup truck began speeding and weaving between lanes, police said.

He has been charged with child abuse, endangerment, and having open alcohol in the vehicle.

Officials said Alvarez’s son isn’t facing any criminal charges.
