The former First Daughter has been the centre of speculation regarding her next professional move. Some analysts believe she is eyeing the top job. However, Mary Trump, Donald Trump’s niece, has shut down such rumours.
In an interview with Business Insider, the author of ‘Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man’, expressed her hopes her relatives would never return to the White House.
She opined of her uncle Donald: “He has a certain charisma that appeals to people’s lowest and basest instinct and gives permission to people to be their worst selves.
“He can be charming.
“It makes sense to me that people can be taken in by him.
“They [ Ivanka and Mr Trump Jr] don’t have that.”
The remarks come after Ivanka was warned her “questionable” actions during President Trump’s term could frustrate any future political ventures.
Speaking to news.com.au, Spencer Critchley, a former communications consultant for Barack Obama’s campaigns, said Ivanka’s actions suggest she could be looking to expand her political experience.
Some of these actions include “ostentatiously virtuous positions on non-controversial topics like motherhood or being kind to each other.”
One of Ms Trump’s most harshly condemned moments during her time as a senior adviser to President Trump was her attendance to the 2019 G20 summit as part of her father’s delegation despite having no official ambassador credentials.
