According to sources, Meghan knew how difficult the trip had been for Harry, who has now returned to the US. With Meghan pregnant with their second child, Harry was concerned over leaving her with Archie for so long on her own. Indeed, with Harry returning to the UK for the first time since the bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, the Duke did not want to leave his family.
Despite his concern for his family in Los Angeles, Meghan reassured Harry they were fine while he awaited the heartbreaking funeral of his grandfather.
A source told People: “Meghan and Harry have been in touch every day.
“She knows the trip to England has been difficult for Harry.
“He didn’t want to leave Meghan and Archie alone.
“Meghan has insisted to him every day though that they are fine.
“She hasn’t wanted him to worry.”
Ahead of Harry’s return to the UK, it was unsure if the Duke held talks with his father following the tell-all interview with Oprah.
Following the ceremony on Saturday, Harry was seen briefly talking to Prince William as they walked away from St George’s Chapel in Windsor.

“The Duke of Sussex continues to say he respects his grandmother, but he has ridden roughshod over the institution she represents.”
Despite relations with the Firm remaining unclear, Meghan and Harry were close to Philip.
In tribute to the Duke of Edinburgh, Harry and Meghan had picked out a specially designed wreath in tribute to Philip.
The wreath was created by Willow Crossley, who designed Harry and Meghan’s flower arrangement and included the Acanthus mollis which is the flower of Greece in recognition of Philip’s heritage.
It also included sea holly, to represent the Royal Marines, campanula for gratitude and everlasting love, rosemary to signify remembrance, lavender for devotion, and roses in honour of June being Philip’s birth month.
A handwritten note was also placed on the wreath in tribute to Philip as he was laid to rest in the chapel.
A friend of the Duchess has also claimed Meghan wanted the Royal Family to put their differences aside.
She also hopes to put differences aside going forward as that is what Philip would’ve wanted.
