More than 40 percent of those watching at home had switched off from tuning into the show in the first week of Piers’ departure.

By the end of March, Good Morning Britain had lost 100,000 viewers on average to when the controversial journalist sat at the desk.

The likes of Kate, Alex, Ben Shephard, 46, Adil Ray, 46, and Ranvir Singh, 43, have all taken the hot seat since their co-star’s departure.

Though this hasn’t gone down well with fans as one wrote on Twitter recently: “Following Piers Morgan’s departure, every combination of presenters has been tried. GMB, turn off your lights and bolt the door.”
