Red Bull team principal Christian Horner believes Red Bull still have plenty in their locker, despite the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton winning three
Red Bull team principal Christian Horner believes Red Bull still have plenty in their locker, despite the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton winning three of the four races so far this season, most recently during the Spanish GP in Barcelona.
So far in every race, Max Verstappen has been painfully close to the top step, going wheel-to-wheel with Hamilton at every available chance, but ultimately losing out, excluding the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.
And when it’s come to the opening four races, Red Bull have perhaps had a speed advantage in qualifying, but it’s Mercedes who seem to be holding the edge when it comes to managing tyres over longer runs and impressing when it comes to outwitting their rivals in the strategy fight.
“I think the Mercedes, and we’ve seen it since Bahrain, their race pace has been better than ours at each GP that we’ve seen so far,” Horner said. “I think that their degradation has been better than ours.
