Earlier this morning a train derailed in Aberdeenshire, with fears multiple passengers have been injured. About 30 emergency vehicles are currently at the scene, with more continuing to arrive. Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has responded to the shocking news, and said: “This is an extremely serious incident.

“I’ve had an initial report from Network Rail and the emergency services and am being kept updated.

“All my thoughts are with those involved.”
