Supermarket queues: Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda and Morrisons latest rules

Since the beginning of lockdown, shopping for groceries has been a new experience for everyone. One of the biggest changes has been queueing up outside. Each of the stores have different rules.

Sainsbury’s currently don’t have such a system.

However, it does state on its website: “We are asking everyone to only send one adult per household to our shops.

“This helps us keep people a safe distance apart and also helps to reduce queues to get into stores.

“Our store teams will be asking groups with more than one adult to choose one adult to shop and will ask other adults to wait.

Morrisons has created a queueing system that allows shoppers looking for fewer items to get in the store more quickly.

Known as “speedy shopping”, it allows basket users to skip the queue and gives them a special queue.

Five baskets users are allowed in for one trolley user.
