He get revenge by beating Korda, last week’s winner

Michael Mmoh made the most out of a second chance Saturday, picking up a title, a little cash and some revenge by beating Sebastian Korda in the final of this week’s The Battle of Bradenton event held at the United Tennis Center.

Mmoh, 22, beat Korda, 19, in Saturday’s final 6-3, 7-6 10-8 to avenge a loss last week in the first tournament of a four-week event that allows professional players an avenue for competition during the Covid-19 crisis.

A week ago Korda, who won the 2018 Australian Open junior title, was the winner, beating Mmoh in the final in a third-set tiebreaker during a match featuring two of the top young American players who normally compete on the ATP Challenger and ITF Futures tour.

Adrian Andreev beat Vasil Kirkov 6-2, 6-4 in a battle for third place. Paolo Lorenzi and Axel Geller also posted wins Saturday.
