Stormfront (played by Aya Cash) has been billed as one of the new villains of The Boys season two as she joins The Seven in the upcoming series. Here’s everything which has been revealed about her so far, including what fans need to know about the character in the comic books.

Who is Stormfront in The Boys comic?

Back at Comic Con in 2019, it was confirmed Aya Cash would be joining The Boys as a new villain called Stormfront.

Now in a new special called The Boys F**kin’ Reunited, more has finally been revealed about the role she will play in the hit comic book series.

Actress Aya Cash sat down for an interview with the actor and comedian Patton Oswalt who is playing a guest role in the new season.

She explained: “Stormfront is a new member of The Seven and she is a new villain. I would say she is on par if not worse than Homelander.”

Cash went on to add: “In the age of social media we have a whole new group of celebrities, you have Vine stars, you have TikTokers, you have YouTubers.

“There’s this whole group of people who are very successful on the internet and she is definitely one of those so her stardom comes from social media and her ability to navigate that and to use that.”

The star also went on to speak about how she thinks fans will react to her character when the series is released.

She added: “I’m such a bad guy I feel like there are going to be a lot of questions coming my way about my badness. So right now I’m just reading history books.”

Anthony Starr added: “The introduction of that character was just really fantastic for the show and my character, not to mention all the other characters.

“Stormfront is not a joke, she’s a force of nature and she comes on and she really throws the cat amongst the pigeons, she’s a force to be reckoned with.

“Without giving anything away, she’s I want to say multi-layered because so many things happen through the season that really flesh her out and it’s a hell of a character.”

While the stars are still being cagey about her introduction into the show, some viewers might be curious to know if the comics reveal any more about her role.

In the comics written by Garth Ennis, Stormfornt is actually a male neo-nazi superhero who leads a rival team to The Seven called Payback.

He was actually the first superhero ever created and was made in Nazi Germany by Compound V when he was a child.

Hitler orders Stormfront to be killed but he was instead sent to America when he was still young.

He grew up extremely racist but also went on to become one of the most powerful superheroes in the series.

Some of his powers include flight, super strength, electricity manipulation and being able to control the weather.

Given the show has updated the character already into a young woman joining the Seven, it seems like the creators will not be planning to stick to the comics exactly.

Therefore, viewers will just have to wait until September 4 to find out exactly who Stormfront really is.

The Boys launches on Amazon’s Prime Video on September 4.
