In a bid to keep staff and holidaymakers safe, social distancing protocol has been introduced to some resorts, with certain amenities no longer on offer for guests.
A TUI spokesperson Express.co.uk: “Due to local government restrictions, some of our kid’s clubs and creches in resort may be closed or have restrictions on numbers so we’d advise customers to check before they travel.
“We’d like to reassure customers that as per our TUI Promise, we will not operate to any hotel or destination where we believe they won’t have a great holiday so if there are restrictions that would significantly impact the holiday enjoyment we simply won’t go there. If there is a significant change, for example no TUI kids club, the main pool is closed or no TUI entertainment programme, then we will advise customers and they will have option to amend their holiday to a suitable alternative or cancel with a full refund.”
According to the TUI website there will also be additional changes made to staple features of the classic holiday, including the pool-side experience and amendments to restaurants.
The website explains: “Resort facilities, like sports courts, may be open for longer than normal to allow for social distancing.”
