William explained he avoids the show because he finds it too “painful” to watch himself back on screen.

“But it’s all painful because I don’t like the way I look and what I do,” he divulged.

Despite his concerns, the actor shared he wouldn’t rule out returning to the fantasy series.

Speaking about making a potential reappearance on the show, William said: “If they wrote it and it made reasonable sense then I’d love to [revive Captain Kirk], I wouldn’t do a series.

“If the role was written properly and it wasn’t a cameo or gratuitous; being there just to show my face, I wouldn’t do that.”
